Painted directly with minimal drawing from the beach at Easthaven, Angus, on the East coast of Scotland. Of particular interest that day was the transition between the clear view through the water in the lower right of the painting, to the increasingly brilliant reflections as the eye lifts towards the horizon. I also remember getting wet feet.
