This is a new work using an older painting as the starting point. My aim was to use the techniques I’ve learned over the years to increase the luminosity of the original while still keeping the composition and feel of the work intact.
The original work was one of my first outdoor sky studies, painted in the Scottish Borders from a prehistoric Hill Fort.
