Cloud Composition 4  Oil on Canvas 24x30cm.

The spread of light as these huge aerial masses progress through the air is the subject for this oil sketch. The geographical location is the Tay Estuary looking south towards the strip of Tentsmuir Forest across the water but this is fairly irrelevant - the specific shapes formed at this moment in the sky is what the painting is about. I’d like to think it could be anywhere on the planet in terms of an earthbound location.
