I generally base the cost of a painting on its size, so as long as a commission involves no extra expense then the following examples of size/price may be taken as a rough guide
A small 6x7inch colour study. A similar study could be commissioned for £100.
A painting of 10x11ins could be commissioned for £250
A sky study measuring 16x18ins - £450
24x26 ins. landscape and sky painting - £900
30x36ins Painting - £1200
