This study of a sunset got more and more intense as I worked on it in the studio. I really enjoy pushing oil paint to the limits like this. My aim is to create as realistic a depiction of light and heat as possible.
Residents of Monifieth may be reassured that the Bell Tree Restaurant can indeed be seen (just to the right of the river of lava, under the main cataclysmic event)
